LQ4 with T-Rex 317 will LSA heads work?
Hi,
Current setup is LQ4, trex, 317 heads, 93 octane
The plan is to add LSA heads and ls3 manifold i have sitting in a closet. Will these heads work with a trex cam and doing a turbo and cam later.
The current setup I dont rev past 6200rpms it seems to be not as smooth after that.

If you don't rev past 6200, you're not getting any of the benefits of the T-Rex. That's a cam designed for higher RPM.
Do you have a dyno graph showing the upper RPMs? You may need to figure out if the springs/pushrods/rocker combo you have is the issue, unless you plan to replace all of them with the LSA heads? But it could be a fueling or spark issue as well, and that won't go away with a swap of heads.
The LSA heads, being a square port design, will not really love the T-Rex. There's a ton of overlap with the T-Rex, especially in a 364cid motor with only a 4" bore for those heads to work ideally.
