Default Excited, just ordered my Tick Cam Kit.

I really wanted to create a max hp build thru an A4 with my crate LS6 and achive 400rwhp, but everyone says its just not possible. Anyways, I contacted Martin and asked him to spec me a cam that would pass emissions in California. I know that it's not overy aggressive but what do you guys think of the cam.... 223-227 612/578 at 116+3. How will this differ from my stock 02-04 LS6 cam...??
Thanks guys..

The cam has a later IVC point, which is good for your HP goal, but bad for compression. Your going to want to up the compression as much as possible with that cam. The ls6 cam has a very slight difference in IVC, but its sooner. This cam will make more power no doubt about it.

cali_bear2003, I'd run at least a 3000 TC stall, an get the compression up at least to at least 10.5:1, but it doesn't need to get over 11:1. This will help get the torque up a little at lower RPM which you be at often on the street. The compression bump will make the car more enjoyable getting up to speed, but isn't a requirement. I would highly recommend at least a 3000 TC stall an 3.23 rear gears; especial without bumping up the SCR .

I already have 3:42's in the rear, so it actually gets up out of the hole quick. Does anyone think that this cam will not be as responsive as my current LS6 cam? Where will I notice the power difference?

IMO, I don't think you notice anything on the low-end, but midrange power on up is where you should start noticing some nice gains.
As far as minimum stall size I made a correction in my minimum recommendation to 3000 stall TC, even thought I think you'd be happier with 3600 performance wise.

Thanks for the business and I'm glad you're pumped up about the cam swap!

Very similar to what I have, except obviously much looser LSA and delayed cam timing due to you having to pass inspections.

With a good tune, will drive like butter and idle smooth as stock.
