Cam selection (not that kinds thread)
Ok, had a cam spec'ed out for me by PatG and Brian Tooley. I am aware of the pros and cons of each lobes that each of them use. My question isn't witch is a better cam but rather with one I should choose. One should shine on motor the other on the spray (200). Both were spec'ed around the heads that I'm using and a Vic jr on a 6.0. Car is not a daily and mostly a "Mexico grudge car" with it's fair share of track time. But it's driven 60% of the time and trailered the rest.
Not going to id witch cam is witch to avoid biased. Just trying to make an educated choice.
236/244 .629”/.629” 110 +2
235/248 .638/.595 112+4

They both have the same intake centerline and about the same IVC, so they will behave about the same. If I were picking for my own car, I would pick the 235/248 .638/.595 112+4. I would pick that cam simply because I have seen some of the testing behind its design and I think it will make slightly more power.
Geoff at EPS gets his ground on Cam Motion cores which are better quality than the cores used by Comp and many others. That would immediately sway my decision unless Tooley's are also being ground elsewhere. My friends and I have been burned too many times.

I'd choose the bottom one as well. It's Tooley's and ground on a Comp Cam core. The nitrous will like it a bit more than the other. Straight NA, I'd go with Pat's and the Cam Motion core with EPS lobes.
Let me get this straight:
You had 2 of the premier cam guys here custom spec a cam for you. Both appear on paper that they should work well, and are similar. You then question said recommendation(s) in favor of a internet thread filled with guys who will blindly pick the "better choice" for you based upon a gut feeling?
Here's the best advice you're going to get in this thread: Just pick one and install it. The difference between the two is so minimal that not you, nor I, nor anyone else (including PatG and Brian) can say with certainty which is the superior cam without actually running it first.

You've already got 2 of the best opinions you'll possibly get anywhere on which cam to run (Pat G., and Brian Tooley). Why not ask each of them what they think of each others specs, then if you're still not sure which one to go with; flip a coin!
IMO, either way it's heads you win, tails you win..!
