Default Pulling G5X4 cam

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking about pulling my G5X4 cam. I want something that's going to be great for some street driving but also alot of track time. The motor is pretty much stock. Stock heads, stock block. Valvetrain was changed with Comp dual valve spring, LS7 lifters, Comp chromoly pushed rods (stock length). The car has a LS6 intake manifold and will be getting 150 shot of nitrous. What do you guys think?

What are the specs of the G5X4? Is it 240/244 111 or so?

Do you plan to run stock heads going forward?

Are you looking to go smaller? The cam you have should be plenty streetable with a good tune and be great for track time.

The car will be better to drive and easier to live with, with a smaller and more modern camshaft.

Something around the size of the Tick SH Stage 2 (231/238 113lsa+3) overlap is about 8.5* so it should be a lot more streetable, and the split should work well with the N.O., and it still big enough to make good power.

Thanks guys. I'm looking to go with AFR 225cc heads and the gearing is stock now but in a couple weeks 3.73s are getting installed and it's a 6spd car.

This will work good with Tick cam, but I'd suggest going at least with 3.90 rear gears with the M6 trans.
