Think of it as an iron block with aluminum block weight.

It is designed for Corvette Racing. 4.124" X 4.00" 6.98 liters (427 cid)12.5:1 CPR. They put out 620hp @ 6400 RPM, 495 torque @ 5200 RPM, and have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance road race in France the past few years. They have siamese bores and more ridges on the outside of the block for strength. It may not be as strong as the modular Darton Sleeved block, but is unmatched for endurance road racing.
