Default Cam spec based on head flow

Ok We're talking basic bolt on (ls6 manifold already standard)

Twin 3 inch exhaust system
1 5/8" headers
Air intake
6 speed manual

3.46 diff gear ratio

10.1 comp.

With heads that flow
(565hp@650 lift)
225/165 cfm @ 400 lift
271/195 cfm @ 600 lift

Weekender , sometimes once a week driven.

Based on the above mentioned, What cam spec would best suit this set up?

You have a decent flow head with a tiny header going to over-sized exhaust. Matching the system gives better results.

I have to agree. Go with at least 1 3/4 headers. 1 7/8 would be optimal.

For a Monaro ? 2000 Kg ? No emissions testing ? 1 5/8 primary. Just a wild guess from a n00bie, 220/232, or bigger with more compression. With 1 7/8 headers, maybe 228/228
I agree with svede1212, bigger headers. Then get with a vendor who will spec a custom grind for you and spend 30 min telling him what you have, how it's driven and what you expect.

The headers are a tri-y style rather than 4 into 1.

The primaries are 1 5/8"
Secondaries are 1 3/4"
Outlet's are 2.5"
