Default Confusion on flexplate

Ok, so I am totally confused on the flexplate/spacer deal. I currently have a BTE sfi flexplate on my LS1 TH350 setup. The converter is old school sbc style, so Im running a spacer. Question is, I am planning on a LQ4 build soon, and I know the 99-00 have long cranks. Can I run the BTE flexplate on these yr model engines, or should I look for a newer engine? I dont want to have to buy another SFI plate if I can help it. Thanks!

On my "short crank" 200R4 swap, the spacer is next to the crank, then the 'plate. If this is the case in your situation, just remove the spacer when using a long crank as it's exactly the length of the add'l crank material...
