Anyone purchased from Turn Key Engine Supply?
Anyone purchased from Turn Key Engine Supply? I spun a rod bearing in the LS1 in my '72 C20. In an effort to get the truck back on the road ASAP (the LS1 is going to be rebuild into a 383 for my '69 Vette at some point), Ive been shopping for a new long block and found this:

I called them and it sounds like a relatively budget friendly motor that they assemble with mostly stock LQ9 parts but Mahle pistons, a slightly bigger cam, and upgraded springs and pushrods. Compression is at 9.5:1 so I can run it on 87 since this is my daily driver, and they will use the 24x reluctor wheel so everything will run with what Ive got in the truck already.
The few reviews Ive been able to find are pretty good, anyone here have any experience with them?

Although I just saw this 5.7L with forged pistons and the 5.3L block punched out to 5.7L for 3699. I'd do that.

thanks for the info....Im still leaning more towards the LQ9 as opposed to the 5.7, but Ill probably give them a call this afternoon....poking around the forum, it sounds like they do pretty good work, and have a good reputation for customer service
yea, I'm not looking for anything exotic....this is a 1972 3/4 ton suburban after all....I just want something that makes good power and will last a while....which their LQ9 sounds like it will....and have the grunt to tow a trailer when need be
