Default Contimplating bigger cam??? like advice

With all mods in sig. i currently am running really good. I'm only a few tenths slower than h/c cars and i haven't got traction yet either. The Hotcam has awesome low and midrange. It fries the nittos in any kind of 1st gear punch, and from the line is absolutely pointless. Went to the track and pulled a 2.28 60'(feathering the throttle thru first) after the crap outta them using the linelock i just installed. I would be willing to trade the, almost to much bottom end, for some better pull on the topend if putting in a larger cam is worth it. I'd rather pull on someone rather than be pulled on...know what i mean. Also i am thinking about doing an NX kit (which is more bang for the buck) but i would like to run faster NA more. Any advice or opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, James.

Do you care about driveability/emissions..

I would do a 224/228 .561/.581 112lsa cam

That would be good for motor, good for spray....

But the split duration "spray" cams really don't come into play until you are really hosing it down...

I'm sure you will get many more opinions, there are a lot of "new cam" posts going on....

Driveability and emissions went out the window long ago when i gutted the cats and added the Hotcam. Probably most any cam i add will have better street manners than the one i have right now. My buddie is running the C2 cam and it really pulls on the topend. He has self ported heads though, But correct me if i'm wrong: self ported heads only gain you about 20hp, right? I know there is a crazy amount of cams out there to choose from with heafty price tags as well. Just trying to get some feedback of people who have "been there done that". Thanks, James.

Well my first cam w/stock heads was a Comp Grind..

222/222 .561/.561 112lsa...similar to the T1, had great top end pull...

I then went to a 230/227 .591/.571 112lsa "X1" cam...that thing had some major top end pull...

Now I have a 214/218 .540/.550 114lsa blower cam...idles like stock..

The new G2X5 cam has a big split, people are putting down some damn impressive #'s w/that cam...that might be worth a shot...

Hey BIGBOS, that 214/218 .540/.550 114lsa blower cam sounds interesting, is that a Comp Cams grind? Do you have a part # for it?
