does anyone have problems w/ their engine w/ a 224 cam?
i am getting a 224/224 .114 cam on my '02 m6 camaro. i am buying hardened pushrods, new retainers new rocker arms, dual springs, and having it dyno tuned w/ ls1 edit. is their any longevity problems w/ this cam?? is there anything that i should expect to go wrong besides the clutch lol. and also, do i have to be more careful on warming the car up?? thanks for the advise

I let my new engine with a 224 cam warm up to full operating temperature before I even raise the tach over 1500 rpm. After all the cash I just spent, it's not worth it. I'll take the time. As far as longevity, I only have 1000 miles on it. I'm using ISKY 295 springs.

Why are you getting new rocker arms?

You guys let your cars get to full operating temperature before driving the things? Sheesh, talk about wasting gas.
I get in my B1 cammed / Isky295D spring'd car, turn it on, pull out of the garage, and go. Yes, I keep it to under 4000 RPMs until the oil pressure drops (motor's warm), but there's no need to be ridiculous about it.
Hard to keep it to 2000 RPMs with 4.56 gears.
