69' Skylark LS2 Swap So I'm having my motor built.. 06' 6.0 iron block - I have a 408 stroker kit.. I'm buying my cam and the price is ok at 375.00 caa 54-418-11 so now I need springs right.. can someone explain why the springs kit cost more than the cam? I'm looking at 325-430.00 for a spring set for this cam. WTH. Looking forward to hearing if anyone has a cheaper solution or welcome to the club and drop my pants?

It's a slow process.. I will post on another thread once we pull the motor and start the new install. 4L65 tranny as well. I wanted a 6speed but eh.. didnt happen

Hot! I had a L33 90K miles in my hand but gave it up for the 6.0.
I'd love to turbo.. not in the budget.. maybe I'll spray it later. Just trying to get it into the 12's with a tune and I'm good. I want to CCR most likely.

Springs are expensive because it is a lengthy process to manufacture them and QC has to bet top notch. A spring is a sensitive part and ends catastrophically almost every time there is a failure. Spend the money on the right springs now or it WILL cost you a **** ton more soon.
