Heads question Okay so I just blew a spark plug out my head on start up. Stripped threads n all that. I plan on a quick fix but in the coming months I'd like to just swap heads. Would 243s make much difference? Would a tune be necessary? I have a 2002 ss, stock internals with LT headers, ory, lm1 and a lid. Later on i want a cam swap but I'd like to fix my heads asap. Just don't have the money to spend on a tune and cam.
You should be fine if all you do is swap the 243 heads on in place of the 241's. You might as well swap in a cam while you're at it. But, to answer your question, you should be fine on the stock tune with just the heads swap.
