You do not have to but if you're dead set on it, any decent cylinder head guy can gasket match the chambers......assuming that's what you mean.

You don't need to but it wouldn't hurt to open up the chambers and deshroud the valves.

You could put the dowels in the head and use your headgasket as a template for the bore size.

You can send them back to TEA. They have a 2.08 and 2.10" intake valve program based off the 235 and 245 valves in the TFS heads that they can apply to the 243s. They can also take the head out to a 4.1" bore or whatever. It's basically the "stage 3" treatment.

The 226cc port will become like a 229 or so with the blending of the port to the new valve job. So that's pretty good for a 416. You'll pick up like 8-10cfm as well. Just going to the 4.065" bore will raise your flow numbers about 8-10 anyway. So this is in addition.

How much improvement in terms of flow and/or power can be gained from going to a 2.08/2.10 valve over a stock one?

I talked to them about two weeks ago about the stage 3.to me its not worth it because ill have to spend $1800 to do it i can sell mines and put money with it and get the tfs 235 or 245.Im just trying to see if the chamber needs to be opened for the bigger bore.also i asked about the ls3 turned down valves i said i was gonna spray nos they said not a good idea to go with the valves.I just want some for sure answers.I wish mike still worked there
