Default 403 ls2 oil pressure issue

I am wanting to get some thoughts and opinions about oil pressure on a ls2 403, motor has 50 miles on it as of right now and at 1000 rpm idle I am getting 20-25psi hot idle 40-45 cold idle, I am using 10w30 mobil oil, king rod and main bearings the clearances are .0024-.0025 on mains and .0022-.0024 on rods I am using a ported and shimmed ls6 oil pump, am I being over paranoid or is that to low, the lq4 I removed held 40 hot idle with stock ls6 pump and same oil, should I just not worry about it and run it as is, try thicker oil, try a different oil pump, or should I try to tighten the main clearance up some since I have been worried it is to loose since im running an aluminum block

Default same problem

I wanna know the answer to this also, I have a 370ci 6.0 about 700miles on it with a base tune, the shop told me it have a melling pump (not sure of the part #) and its a 40psi cold and 22-25 hot. w.o.t it stay at about 25psi and once I get out of it it jumps to 30 and come down to 22 again

While those numbers aren't horrible and you both have fresh motors, I'd double check that the pick up tube o-ring wasn't pinched.

I have double checked that, I feel that mine is in the main bearing clearance I drove it more today it will hold 35-40 at a hot idle if I let it idle and warm up but after driving it about 30 min it will hold 20-25 at idle im thinking about trying to install a .001 bearing on the lower of the mains to tighten my clearance up to about .0019 to see if that wont help

i thought it was to loose to but i talked to a few places and my machine shop and they said it would be fine but i think they mush have got confused and must have thought i had a iron block, i think ill change bearings on the mains and see what happens, question is should i put a full set of .001 bearing in it to se the clearance at 1.4 ish or use half a set and set it at 1.9 ish

I'd be okay with that oil pressure as long as it didn't get lower with RPM, but I would like to see more if it were my car. A Melling 10296 or AFM style pump would bring pressure up at idle and above, and be a lot easier/safer than swapping out the bearings.

Default found my problem

bearing clearance was off so I started losing super pressure close to nine after running the car past 20mins.

Rebuild with a procharger lol
