Default Another cam question (I did my research, I want opinions)

OK, so my wife is putting together an LS1/t56 combo for her 82 RX7. We have eveyrthing we need and now it's down to the camshaft choice. She was looking at the Lunati VooDoo 282/288 camshaft but havent really found many rave reviews on it... Was wondering if anyone has any exoperiene with it or anything in a similar range? Engine setup is as follows:

LS1 stock block, stock bottom end
243 heads
BT dual springs
Stock LS1 intake
42# injectors
GTO T56

Not looking to make a crazy amount of power out of this engine. would like to be in the 380-400 range seeing as its going to be in a sub-2000 pound car its going to be scary as is. Something with a decent low end but good power all the way through the powerband. Car will be a fun street car that occasionally sees strip use

So, any personal favorites for this type of setup?

That cam looks to be a pretty good choice IMO. Not all that far off from what I run in my car.

Whatever cam you decide on; I would at least upgrade the LS1 intake to the LS6. It will be a pretty big restriction on a cammed engine.

I would also stay with a cam that has decent drivability. I feel like most of our street/strip cars see a lot more street than they do strip.

^agree! Stay mild on the cam and make up the power difference of a larger cam in other areas...better intake, heads, and exhaust. it will make for a much more enjoyable car.

I've got to agree, go a little smaller like the BTR Stage II (227/234/113lsa+2, lift .614"/.576").
