Pistons arrived today. Ordered my bearings and fuel rails last night, so hopefully in about 3-4 days we can get the bottom end built!

Excuse the YOLO! as I posted the picture on facebook earlier.

Sold my LS6 intake and 243 heads few minutes ago. Will be picking up some L92 heads this week. I took the easy way out and dropped all my stuff off with our local LSx shop to have him build the bottom end this time.

Picked up the heads today, complete minus some seals.

Killing me seeing all these parts chilling on the table still.. Just waiting for the block to come back so we can start fitting everything..

Thanks for the sub.

My engine guy sent me a picture of it last night. So far everything went in without a hitch. Going to be looking at either buying the cam or intake today.

One of our local LS1 Swapped Fox's that was tuned and worked on by the guy building my engine. Needless to say I think I'm in good hands when it comes to everything else.

Made up a list of everything I have left to order... Kind of got my spirits down when the list was finished...
  • Camshaft (Custom from LJMS) - $400
  • Injectors 80# - $250
  • Intake (Stock LS3 as per Engine Builder) - $200
  • Lifters (OEM as per Engine Builder) - $100
  • Fuel Pressure Regulator - $142
  • Fuel Pumps (Racetronix 680LPH Kit) - $256
  • Fuel Line - $60
  • Oil Pump - $150
  • Boost Gauge - $60
  • Wideband - $150
  • Fuel Pressure Gauge - $80
  • Oil Pressure Gauge - $70
  • Head Gaskets - $100
  • Misc Gaskets - $100
  • Front LS2 Cover - $50
  • LS2 Valley Cover - $100
  • Water Pump - $120

Not to mention buying a rear end and having the 80e beefed up.

After she's up and running for a while I'll make the plunge over to an s480 or similar.

subbed as well. project looks interesting. interested to see how the CXracing kit works out for you. i might have a few parts in that list i can let go for super cheap like the oil pump, LM7 valley cover (if it works for your application), fuel pressure regulator and gaskets (summit racing sent me an extra gasket set). just let me know!

Curious to see how the CX Kit will work for me as well. When I make the switch to the S480 I'm just going to have someone weld a new flange on to it instead of redoing all the piping.

As for the parts, PM me and let's talks about it!

IWIS chain, Oil Pump, and Racetronix 680LPH kit. Next week I'll be ordering fuel lines and fittings, then we should be set.
