Engine Build - Going Turblowed
Made my first AN hose, haha.
Stock Connector is too small and fragile to handle the pump wires, figured that out as we finished the first pump wiring. -8AN bulkhead fitting, secure with locktite. Will be using return port as an evap sensor port.
Racetronix Bracket came with two holes so we used stainless bolts/nuts and brass washer to secure it
Racetronix RCS-028 bulkhead connector
Racetronix RCS-028 bulkhead connector
Went from the -8AN Bulkhead fitting to a 3/8s barb, still needing to put a clamp on it. Using the stock feed port as a return line.
No kinking of the hose! ACDelco Submersible Fuel Line Hose, $25 / foot sadly

Figured I'd give some update of progress on the build. I've been patiently (Sorta) waiting for the guy to finish it up. I dropped off (hopefully) the last two items he needed two days ago... Woodruff key and Timing Chain Tensioner...
Really at a stand still till I get the engine in the car so I can finish fuel line lengths and mouting Intercooler etc. Hopefully he has it to me before Saturday so I can get it tuned over the weekend (Fingers crossed), haha.
Bought a manual boost controller, new front brake pads and going to be buying a trans cooler to help prolong the life of the 60e.
Headers and crossover pipe are being wrapped to help keep temps down as well.
More updates to come...
Wired the gauges today, last one is going to be a fuel pressure one.
Was mocking up the oil drain, still uncomfortable with the way it is but it'll have to work.

Daylight Savings Time is killing my work time though

VBand Clamp is leaking on driver side but that's about it.

Finally finished mounting the cold side correct and everything is hooked up, royal pain in the ***. Had to relocate trans cooler to fit it correctly.
Transmission fails to shift into gears.... Pump has gone out, pretty upset because I wanted to drive it today.
Gauges work, Wide-band is functioning and my boost gauge is reading vacuum.
Alternator Relocation Bracket, Hawks Third Gen, requires ACDelco 334-2396A.... Another $90, installed and working properly with EC101 connector. 68 1/2 inch belt worked as well.
Bad newssssss, Turbo drain isn't working so I had a lot of oil in my down pipe and on the floor. Will be ordering a scavenging pump to fix issue.
Still have a leaky vband clamp on driver, nothing too bad...
I've had little to no motivation to finish pulling the transmission to fix the pump in it...

But.... I will be working on it tomorrow. I picked up a nice Griffin Radiator to replace the stock one. I will finish pulling the trans tomorrow and hopefully have it back in provided I can find a pump tomorrow. Going to wire in the scavenge pump as well.
I may not even need the scavenge pump as I think I added too much oil before, derp. But we'll see what happens this go round.
Will post tomorrow when I make more progress.
