Default hp/tq gains

Good morning,

I am currently new to the ls1 tech and ls motors...
i own a c5 auto

I currently installed,
243 heads ported, and milled 0.20
long tubes, off road x pipe
underdrive pulley,
valves and springs
lifters
tq converter 3200
cam 608 282 230 615 290 238
dynode the car and only made 415hp

does this sound about right..

what is the avg?
haven't been to the track but assuming 12sec 1/4 mile
seems all a little slow and not a lot of gain..

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have thought about it, but at this time,, I am a little worried about the power output, is this normal to have this amount of power? 415hp?
Motor only has 47k miles on it.
i would of thought it would at least put down 425-440 or am i over estimating....

I think more info on the drivetrain and tune would solve this problem. You're a stalled auto, so dyno numbers are not what you want to go for. Trap speed will give you a better indicator on how much power you're making.

Do you know anything about the tune done to the car? Timing? AFR, etc?

No I don't, I wish I did... The power feels a little better but not what I was expecting.... Is 415 about right for this build?

Imo, as long as the dyno hp/tq number seem reasonable which they do, the only thing I would pay attention to from your dyno run is the a/f ratio, HP, TQ graphs on your printed out dyno sheet. Consider your peak hp/tq numbers as rough numbers since you can possibly get dyno #s that are 20-30 hp/tq higher or lower across town and still never know which one is the most accurate. Furthermore as already said, get it to the track to get a better idea on you possible rwhp. Two things I do recommend with that cam is at least 3.42 rear gears and at least a 3600 stall TC.

^^^^ What he said. Gearing and a proper stall have a lot to do with a cams performance as well. That was actually what I was getting to when I asked my questions earlier in the thread. Your car will be and feel sluggish with that drive train setup and that cam. If you would please post a pic of your dyno sheet. That would further help with information you are needing.

so if i change the gearing in the back to 3.42, i have been doing some research, is it better to order a z06 differential or just the 3.42 gears?

sorry for the dumb questions, but coming for a ford drivetrain to the LS
its completely different.. i know on my older mustangs i can just change out the gears and but this ls drive train i see that the whole differential needs to be changed is this correct or can a shop just open up the rear differential and put in new gears?

For an A4? I'd go 3.73 for the automatic. 3.90's in M6.
