JS, why were your pistons notched for such a small cam? I use a 230/230/112 .591/.591 on my heads shaved 0.025" with no clearance issues. You will need to check P-V on what you have now to determine how big you can go. It's an easy check using a dial indicator.

I used a bore scope and believe me they are notched.
I also had my cam on a cam dr so I know its a 224-580 113LSA +2
I have 7.35 PR too....
Maybe Carteks timing events are radical?
I dont like this cam,It idles way to docile and isnt very snappy.
It never was,I liked my TR 224 MUCH BETTER.
I wonder if I could get away with throwing in the TR230 cam?
I like TR cams,I might go TR224 but I really think that would be a waste.
Any thoughts,I dont wanna pull the heads
