Default Would a C1 cam be OK for Blower use?

I may be getting a blower in the future, but I don't want to wait until then to put in a cam.

Sure, it'll work with some programming but will it work as good as say, a split pattern cam? Maybe not. If you want a cam now, go for it. I just put one in and even without tuning (coming soon) it runs great. If you need to switch later on, you could do that, too.

Thanks, Jabroni. You just put in a C1 without tuning and you're not getting any missfire codes? That's great! Are you going to tune it yourself with LS1edit or take it to a shop?

if you plan on a blower i wouldn't go below a 114 lsa, want to be able to rev that thing out to get more boost.

I thought one advantage of a blower was you don't have to rev the motor as high to get the hp. I heard the difference between a 112 and 114 LSA was only 200 rpm. I'm hoping the C1 will put my peak hp at 6200 rpm; I'm going to move the rev limiter up to about 6500 rpm. With the 4.11 gears that should put me right at 155 mph in 5th gear, perfect for the Salt Flats!

The only "tuning" I have right now is !EGR/!AIR and the P0300 misfire code was desensitized in the lower RPM range which is why I am not getting the random misfire SES. I have yet to go for dyno tuning to maximize the cam's potential. My hardware for the LS6 intake will be here this week and then off to the dyno for real tuning!!

Yeah I forgot, there's two kinds of tuning!

i would say look into a blower cam. Thunder racing has a pretty solid one.
