Question reasonable torque # on sleeved/stroked/LQ4 vs LSX tall deck?

I'm wondering how the max reliable torque #'s might compare in a sleeved/stroked LQ4 and a tall deck LSx?

I'd like to stay at or below a 4" bore, so either one is good for me that way obviously, but not sure how far the stroke could safely be taken with the two engines.

I'm asSUming the LSx could go with a longer stroke (or not?) so should get bigger ft/lb numbers, but it looks like a new LSx block is going to cost roughly double the quote I have ($12-$1300)to sleeve my current engine.

Maybe the question I SHOULD be asking is, if I sleeve my cast iron LQ4, how far can it be safely stroked?

appreciate your thoughts!

Why would you sleeve a LQ4 and stay below a 4.0" bore?

Depends on the sleeve length. Darton's 5.80" length sleeves have been used with 4.250" stroke, but you need customs pistons and rods. With a 4" bore, that's only 427ci. Those sleeves are closer to $2000 to have installed on an aluminum block, and iron will only cost more.
