Hi noob here, Awsome site, I am learning a lot. I have a 67 chevy II with a LT1 in it and have a chance to pick up a 2003 6.0 out of a truck with about 7000 miles on it. What would be top dollar everyone would pay for that motor. Has the ecm and harness, wires going towards the trans were cut and is missing starter. Everything else is there.
Thanks

I bought a 2000 LQ4 for $1000 (with starter motor, without A/C compressor), though it had the iron heads and longer crank. I got a pretty good deal on it, but it had 120k miles on it.

For 7k miles on a 2003 including everything but the start motor, $1800 sounds more than fair.

If 7000 miles, not 70,000 then it might be a good deal if it was well kept all these years. If it sat outside in a smashed up truck with the intake tract wide open many be no depending on your climate. Location also matters a lot in value.

Make sure it turns over freely. That is a long time for a motor to sit without it being rotated. Make sure you spray something through the spark plug holes before you rotate it for lubrication.
