Default Better Head Option?

So I've started gathering the pieces to take my 5.3 LM7 to a 5.7.
My next obstacle is weather or not I'm better off sending my 5.3 heads to TEA for their 5.3 stage one port & rebuild service, or using the Trick flow heads listed in the link below. I've already ordered my cam from Martin @ Tick.
Again this is for a daily driver style build, used mostly for cruising and long haul road trips in my Nova.

Personally I think the best option would be TEA TrickFlow 205's. They do them. Just have to ask

What will be the price difference between the two options?

I would have them port the OEM castings. The TFS heads are nice, but for a DD/street cruiser type deal, I dont think I could justify the extra money spent on them.

I tend to agree with this on this application.

The 205's are a great casting, but not necessarily needed for this combo to make good power.

Thanks for the input guys.
The main reason I ask is because the Trick Flows are cheaper than the TEA ported 5.3 heads.

At this point I guess I would ask how much more the difference in price would be to have the Trickflow heads touched up, since you said the TEA 5.3 heads are more expensive

Send the 5.3 heads to advanced inductions. With they high compression ported 5.3 heads a M6 f-body puts down 440-450 rwhp. The cam was a 231/239 LSL profile.
Just something to consider......

The TFS heads he has in the link he posted are about $1100 each, so $2200-$2300 for a pair.

The TEA website doesn't list 5.3L heads, but their Stage 1 job for 243/799 heads are $1338 with you supplying the heads.

You are correct I thought the Summit listing was for a pair.
If not TEA it is

The advanced inductions 218cc high compression program is cheaper than both of those. 800 bucks for machining and labor.

By the time you add in a spring kit w/upgraded retainers and shipping its almost always 1100-1200 range.

I would opt for the high compression AI port job too.

We can do Cnc porting, Cnc vj, Cnc decking and provide you with new gm 2.0"" intake valves assembled and ready to go for $750! If your thinking aftermarket casting for smaller bored nothing comes close to a prc 227 head. It has proven time and time again to be the dominant smaller bore Ls head.

How much to send in 5.3 heads for the stage 2.5 porting?

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Both are proven performers.
