Default Ls1 to lq4

Car is 1998 z28 camaro currently running ls1. And am in processes of rebuilding the t56. I'm looking for 500 FWHP maybe more. Car will be daily driven. I currently have a complete lq4 from oil pan to intake. My reason for posting is just for anyone attempting this swap and I'm hoping this will help them. I've been researching every chance I get for this swap. So chime in if I miss something or get any info incorrect. So here we go. Budget is 5500.00

Starting from the bottom end parts list:
Block work at machine shop 500.00
Rebuild rebuild kit 649.00 lq9 to get cr up

Top end
CNC ls3 heads with 68cc, exhaust 92cc, valve 1.59, intake 276cc, valve 2.165, head assembled with .550 lift price is 1249.00
Head gasket 42.00 fel pro 1027 summit
Head bolts arp 110.00
Rocker intake arms 12569167 70.00 exhaust 10214664 70.00 scoggin dickeydum
Rocker stands 12600936 12.00 sd
Rocker arm Bolts 12560961 62.00 sddum
Lifters 100.00
Intake fast 102mm Lsxr 835.00
Throttle body 102mm 104.00
Ls3 map sensor 213-4681 16.00
Map sensor extension and adaptor ls1 to ls3 20.00
ls3 injectors 185.00
Ev1 to ev6 injector adapters 16.00

Currently have long tube headers and y pipe 1 7/8
Finishing transmission right now and should be starting the lq4 build. Any thought, input, advice, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Send your existing heads to a reputable porter, no need to buy a rectangle port setup.

Ls3 heads are a bit over kill. Ive thought about 243's. The 317's have 71cc combustion chamber. I would like my cr a little higher.

243s will be higher compression than 317s OR you could send the 317s to someone like Advanced Induction who can weld up the chamber and put the 243 porting into them.

Would that cost more than buying new heads out right?

Add up the cost of the LS3 stuff plus some real springs as you will probably want over .550 lift or a cam more aggressive than the supplied springs will handle regardless of lift rating.
Then consider the Catherdrals make better average power. and these will have more potential than an as cast head.
Also consider additional things you are forgetting like trunnion kit for either setup, what about fuel rails?
