395 stroker just does not feel right
You would be amazed how well an ls engine will run on 7 cylinders. Hell it will run better on 4 than I would have expected (had a coil plug problem before and was only firing 1 bank)
This is very true. I had a broken plug wire on #8 once and I probably wouldn't have noticed daily driving it if I had the radio on or a quieter exhaust. It drove exactly the same around town. I could barely hear something unusual out the GMMG's with the radio off and I checked them again.
There are a few E85 stations around the North Dallas area, but the issue would be if I ever took the car on a long trip, i.e. Houston, Austin, San Antonio, etc.
As far as the cam degreeing goes, the machine shop and myself checked it using both methods and found the cam to be 9 degrees too far advanced. Now this could be a little on the crank, the sprockets and the cam. I thought it was a little odd to find so much, but we checked with the intake centerline and intake opening method.
