I ordered a new set of heads for my Tahoe from my local GM dealer. One head is fine, the other looks like this.
File it down or try and return it? I don't think it's in a critical area.

I don't think it would be a problem at all but I wouldn't run it unless I absolutely had to. You pad for s new product and got a damaged one. If it's your daily and you must have it, then go for it.. If not, I would take the time to do it right. Shouldn't take a couple days to get an exchange through a dealer.

It looks like it is outside the manifold o-ring/gasket area so filing it down should make it seal........ but you shouldn't have to. If it was a used head, I would want some money knocked off for the dent AND the crappy debur job. Look at those chatter marks !
You paid for new, get new.
