In Need of Some Ideas Hey guys, I need some help. I have a 5.3 that i am putting into a 1996 S10. It has the 862 heads and the only thing I plan to do to them are just a port and polish job. The vehicle is going to be used only for fun, and racing. No daily driving. I know some info about engines and what everthing does, I just dont know which parts are the best. I plan to run at least 150 shot but i do plAN to go ahead and forge the internals so i can eventually go more than 150. I need help picking cam, pushods, and lifters. I am going to keep the truck intake on. Also any other info and suggestion would be appreciated. I found a turbo 400 transmission that has been buitl for only $400. Is that worth it. Thanks guys. Like i said I know what the engine does and how everything works, i just do not know which parts are the best. The nitrous is going to be a wet system. I would like it to be around, if not over, 400 to the wheels. Thanks!
