Sealed Power E938K Piston Ring Tolerance
In a 99mm (3.898") gauge, the top ring should have a gap of .30 to .55mm (.012 to .022")
As we know, if your bore is slightly larger, the gap will open up. So for my bore of 3.900", I have an additional .19 mm (.007") gap. My rings were on the high side of the tolerance, so my total measured gap in my 3.900" bore is coming in a .026".
I checked the taper on the bore and there is next to none. Out of round was minimal as well.
I am using these on a N/A street engine with a target 11.5 compression. Would you use these rings?
