Default Help Inspecting a blown LS6

Hey guys, I came across this ad and talked with the guy and he is willing to do 500 for everything block and heads.

I have been looking for an LS6 or 6.0 aluminum block to eventually build in my garage a forged setup for my current 05 CTS-V.

The owner of this has no relevant information towards the damage, If I go look I will tear it apart and inspect the cylinder walls but other than that is there anything else to look at?

Any major differences between this 04 zo6 block and my current 05 LS6. Any casting numbers I should look into?

Steer clear or go pick it up??

Piston hit the valve??? Valve went through the piston. Cylinder wall will be trash. Will need to be sleeved at least. No good parts on this motor. run do not walk away.

besides the PTV event (likely damaged cylinder), the fact that water is shown in other cylinders is a big problem also. Depending on how long the water sat there, the corrosion could be well beyond the service limit. Don't buy it.
