Displacement is purely based on bore and stroke.
If you are asking these questions don't take on any mechanical projects for at least a year, and displacement can help power but is not the most effective or cheapest answer.
Adding displacement through the use of larger bore and stroke in a given engine is a very expensive way to add power, you can add 150+hp over stock naturally aspirated before adding displacement becomes worth considering.
