new intake now which cam???
Sold my FAST 90 & went with the old school look with a new Victor Jr. I know the single plane intakes such as this like a more split in duration then the long runner composite intakes. I basically have it narrowed down to 3 choices & wanted to get your thoughts as to which may perform better on the street & why. Also, what the characteristics of each would be (idle quality, low end power, midrange & top end) The cam specs are:
1 - $400 New custom grind 228/236 .612"/.600" 111* +4
2 - $400 New custom grind 229/233 .645"/.621" 110* +2
3 - $250 Used standard grind 227/234 .614"/.576" 113* +2
Car specs as follows:
~3600-3700 pound 2nd gen firebird LS1 conversion street car
Accel 4150 TB
Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake
5.3 LS heads TSP ported & milled to 59cc 2.02" IN/1.575" EX valves (should flow ~305 cfm @ .600")

Comp Cams 1.75" roller rockers*
Hedman Hedders custom stepped 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" Headers with 3" collector
2.5" exhaust with x-Pipe & Dynomax transverse muffler (no cats!)
4L60e auto tranny
TransGo HD2 shift kit

Stock LS1 bottom end with 19K on motor
Vigilante torque converter with 3200 rpm stall
8.5" GM 10 bolt posi with 3.42 gears
THANKS!!!
Why not go with something proven like 228/228 from TSP since you are running there heads. Will be a good combo with your 3200 stall.
Plus you can see so many results with that cam as it has been a popular cam.
