Default 5.3 bottom end line hone

I'm in the process of building a turbo 5.3 and just got my crank back from the machine shop and am ready to order some fasteners. My question is if I'm shooting for 600ish hp will a new set of NEW factory main bolts hold that power or will I need studs? Also, if going with NEW factory bolts, since it wont has "as much" clamping power, will i need align hone? I'm aware that with studs, greater clamping force is applied and line hone is highly recommended, but am curious if new bolts will hold and if a hone is needed with them.

Yeah, stock bolts can handle that. GM's 454R crate engine makes over 700hp and uses the stock main bolts (and head bolts) as well.

Alright that's good to hear. Am I correct by thinking if I use factory bolts that the mains won't need to be honed?

I would think they shouldn't need to be, but I always check them.
