Split duration cam question?
So I'm going to be swapping the heads and cam in a few months. I've narrowed the big parts down to a TFS 215 head (although a Tooley touch up 220 set is still an option) and a BTR stage 2 cam. (Looking for just a fun streetable car)
I've been doing research on cams, and it seems like split duration cams used to be favored if you're running stock or restrictive exhausts. ( I have ARH 1-3/4 headers and ORY going into a Corsa exhaust).
The BTR stage two has a longer exhaust duration, but less exhaust lift. I'm curious to hear how that would affect power?
I'm likely staying NA and away from the juice, so I don't know if that affects anything.

Longer exhaust duration helps carry power past peak and according to Brian himself a lower lift on the exhaust valve helps with torque production. The piston has less resistance to fight against during the exhaust stroke so you save a bit on engine efficiency.
