ARP crank bolt for the LS1:
I see this is a new release. Is anyone using it? I'd like to order one to go on the new motor. It should be reusable. Otherwise, I dont see the advantage.

I found it on the ARP website... www.arp-bolts.com gavem them a call and ordered it, dont remember how much it cost really. around 20 i guess.
supposded to have some other stuff for LS1s but I think i had most of it already <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Seriously, the stock one works just as well. I would never resuse a crakn bolt anyways.
Install instructions: Seat the damper, fasten bolt, tighten to 240 FT LBS. (yeah right, just use the German torque spec of Good'n'tight") Remove bolt, put new one in and torque to 37 FT LBS or 50 Nm on the first pass, then 120 degrees on the second pass.
