6.0 vs 5.3
Is this the best way to go? Also what cam do you guys recommend for use in a 93 mustang? I plan to use 4l60e with 3k stall converter.
Thanks
I hear that the 4L80E has some clearance issues on a foxbody mustang swap? What camshaft should I go with?
thanks,
Dogman
If you was going all motor I'd definitely go with the 6.0 and find a way to get that compression up.
We all know 5.3 motors are very proven with a turbo......
Your "bigger valve" 862s might only flow what the stock 317s flow. which could do a fair bit better with mild bowl work and valvejob.

The 4l60e from what i have read will fit without any modifications to the floor pans. I'd perfer to go that way.
So the ported 862's with the bigger valves won't flow as much air as the stock 317's?
Thanks for the input. This is my first ls build and I'm trying to learn as fast as I can.
Thanks again guys.

Suggestion - if you price out that the head work is going to run >$500, and you want to keep on a tight budget, get a set of 243 or 799 heads and put them on the 6.0 block.
