Lots of options out there that do great work...

WCCH, Livernois, AI... It's just a matter of WOULD they touch them after they've already been gone though.

Why would you go screwing around with an already ported head? If you want something else sell those and start with another pair of castings.

I also don't get the idea of "hand finishing" a CNC part.........

If you want them hand finished, Tony Mammo is probaly the way to go.

Richard from WCCH would probably work on them as well.

What's wrong with Summt? If I'm not mistaken, they own Trickflow too and Trickflow still puts out a damn nice cylinder head.

Yea I was going to say I did not mean anything bad, I was just mentioning ownership/management has changed @ TEA. I have a fresh set of LS6 243's that were done when Mike was there getting ready to be bolted up this week.

I'd contact Brian Tooley and see if he'd do it. It was his company after all...

I wonder if he has the machines to still do work like that? I'm guessing he'd farm the milling out to TEA anyways.

But it can't hurt to ask.

I Emailed them asking what I get with their $175 Serdi valve job. Guy named Greg made it sound like a standard 30-45-60 , nothing fancy.
Maybe my credit card # would have got him to talk about options.

I read Cartek can do a full radius valve job for $280, I asked TSP but they only work on their own heads.

JaSSon, let us know what you find out. I wish we had a Valve Job thread.

Summit has owned TEA since 2004, and the quality of machine work is beyond reproach. With that said if you need simple machine work they can certainly do fine work, and they have the cutters that are specific to those heads, and it's not a 30-45-60, the intake is a 37-45-64, the exhaust is 37-45-radius. Don't ever use a radius valve job on intake. A radius valve job is standard for exhaust through TEA. I hope this helps.

Not everyone who answers a phone actually knows the right answers. That might explain the conflicting VJ angles. Or he might just not have wanted to share details.

I don't have a single piece of machine shop equipment, it was all sold to Summit Racing in 2004, so they'll need to go direct to TEA at 285 West Ave, Tallmadge, OH 44278

TEA is still doing a good job.

I hate that Mike left tho. He learned from Tooley and was very knowledgeable.

Thanks! I think you'll be equally pleased with the service!

Just a note, any item that says "Current stock" with a number beside it is actual inventory in our building ready to ship, not in someone else's building.

I'll vouch for Brian: I have an order with him right now... Just waiting for it to be fulfilled.

Great service: definitely went above and beyond, dealing with my millions of questions.

Can't wait to see my items!
