Default metal shavings lq4 6.0

Just bought this lq4 6.0 used and put it in my 04 gto using my 241 heads, a new comp cam, new ls7 lifters, melling high volume pump and new ls2 timing chain. Not even 300 miles on the motor and I'm having issues. At cold start the oil pressure won't go above 25psi and at idle the oil pressure drops from 25psi to about 15psi. When I rev the motor psi reads about 40psi at 2k rpm and up to 50+psi above 2k rpm. There is no knocking that I can hear but rather a light tapping noise u can hear every so often at idle but goes away when engine is reved up. Also found this stuck to my oil drain plug. Thanks for any help

diddo, you got to take it down. something happening eating bearings looks like. ya it sucks but caught early enough not to do more damage.

Oil pressure totally aside, you need to pull it apart. Period. Its eating something up bad.

Looks like the pieces are rolled. So it may be a main bearing and it didn't have enough end play.

Thanks for the input going to b pulling it out next week and sent out for a rebuild. Sux I didn't even get 500miles out of it smh oh well what can ya do.

**update** pulled the motor #2 cam bearing apparently disappeared..
