Default Time to change my C1 cam??

Do you guys think a bigger cam would be worth it for me? I have MTI stageIIs with the C1 cam. The car runs very well and makes good power. Its a daily driver and does very well with this set up. What cam would give me a legidimate power increase, and still be streetable with A/C and such. The car gets a LOT of track time so a power increase would be nice. Any suggestions??BTW, the car is an M6 with the 112 C1. Thanks in advance!

You might want to try a C2 cam. Its a little bigger and still very streetable for an everyday car. You would look to gain a little off of it.

Thanks for your input. I thought about that but wasnt sure if the difference would be worthwhile. Im thinking something a little more aggressive! Any other suggestions??

I dont think the c2 would be worth the swap. You might want to look into something bigger like the X1 or the TR 230. If you want to go wilder get the g5x2

X1 , Hmmmmm! Yeah Mike, my heads are milled 30 thou. I would like a little more gear, but I hate to spend the $$ on that right now. With the gears I also have to send the computer out again.I wonder what difference I would see with the X1???

if you get the gears we could do them at my house to save ya a little $$$ Have you moved the battery to the back yet ? Plus we could do some light weight carpet in that beast as all. Let me know I will help you out with what ever you need. Sorry to get off subject....

whats the deal nastyss00. you already broke my e.t now you want more. just spray the bitch!! the x1 feels good in mechs car and he is going to put those heads on. the heads have 1/2 more compression. MTI says it is fine. but with the x1, the lift is big. you may have to change the springs. the 230 230 i don't think you have to worry about the springs. think the lift is in the 570 area. both cams you will need to shift up there to get the maximum potential out of them. and streetracer is right. you are going to need gears for those cams to really wake up your car. but you can always do that at a later time.

The C1 is capable of 10.8's in the right set up.

Are you sure you have maxed out your present combo to take full advantage of the current cam before going and spending money on parts that you have already spend money on?

Just something to think about.

The C2 is worth a bit more hp...as is the X1 and so on and so on.

But there are ALWAYS trade offs.

Racing is a compromise...if you add here... you lose a bit there.

Just some things to ponder....before you slap down your hard earned cash.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the input. I have MTI stage II heads with their stock lengh push rods. I shimmed the rockers as Roughammer suggested. The car has gone a best of 11.55@ 118.15 on an et street. Raceweight is 3610 with me in it. 60 ' was 1.65. Its best mph is 118.80. My mph seems a little low compared to some M6s but maybe it is the weight? The car runs very well and I am very happy with it. The suspention is basically stock with only LCAs. But my 60fts seem about as good as most at the cars weight.I really dont want to give up any low end grunt for more topend. Im just hearing so much about these new cams. I do feel my heads will support a bigger cam though. Street racer, thanks for your offers dude, your a good bro, as are Mechman and Blueballz!!

no kidding. but you got to remmeber NastySS00 is pushing more power then pops. might just take a while to get use to. pop's car ain't normal nither. runing 12.20's with just bolt on's and 7000 miles on it ain't normal can't wait to see what how those 4.30's will do for him
