Head Options? TFS 220? AFR?
I went a step further and got the TFS 220cc porter castings, which basically need the chamber and valve job finished to be ready to run. I got to pick my own valve job, valve and throat sizes, and had a chamber ground, digitized, and CNC machined for my application. It's a truly custom, one of a kind set of heads and I've got $2000 invested minus valve springs.
What part numbers were those heads and who did you have do the work?

Mike, like yourself "Gluemaker" decided to enlist my services and he and I are working on a 416 together. After literally having a set of Mamofied MMS 220's in a box, labeled, and ready to ship (no joke), Ryan decided he wanted to go big or go home so he scrapped the 346 build at the last minute and I'm now helping him with a 416 CID shortblock and a set of Mamofied MMS 235 heads which he currently has in his possession already (and possibly close to the kitchen or something based on a picture I recently saw.....might have been his bedroom.....LOL).
Anyway.....his build should be pretty stout. Due to the "escalation" of the project (and the costs), he is needing a few more weeks to work on getting the rest of the money for the assembled shortblock (Mamo layaway....LOL).
I'm sure he will chime in at some point.....felt the need to clarify how few "close to 500 RWHP drivable combo's" there are as that is a serious bench mark to even get close to regardless of the size of the cam....and obviously more impressive with a smaller grind of course.
Its another one of the dozen or so cool projects I have in the works that I anticipate you guys finally seeing the results of when the smoke clears.....but we all know that process sometimes takes alot longer than anyone wants for various reasons.....time.....money.....Murphy....whatever. ....LOL
Cheers,
Tony

Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Build it right the first time....its alot cheaper than building it twice!!

Ill be doing a complete build thread once I'm ready to put the car together. Ive got a lot to get accomplished before we hit that point.
Oh, and yes, I keep my MMS 235's on my kitchen counter.
