Default Stock valve guide seals with PRC springs?

Ok, so I bought a use PRC dual valve spring kit a few months ago. It came with springs, locks, locators, and titanium retainers. It didn't come with seals, and since my car was fine before, I didn't think to replace them.

Now after I installed the spring kit and camshaft, it tends to smoke a little bit. I replaced the sparks plugs before I had it dyno-tuned and their was a very small amount of oil around the threads.

Could the bigger dimensions of the PRC springs be rubbing the valve seals? What other symptoms could it be that's causing the car to smoke? It never smoked when the stock valve train was in the car, just does now after I put the PRC's in. Thanks in advance for any help!

Pull the covers and inspect the seals.

I can't really see much through the double valve springs. I don't see them cracked anywhere.

Also It's a .605"/.601" lift cam FYI

So with the PRC springs, do I get the OEM seals or is their an aftermarket type to fit those size springs?

There are aftermarket seals that work with them. I wouldn't run it any more until you get the new seals in place.

Ok thanks.

I called TSP and yes, they have the PRC specific valve seals that go with them. I guess they are smaller in diameter to clear the inside valve springs.

It's only $30 for the set, but a pain in the *** to install!

Thanks but I actually just called TSP today and ordered some seals/seats to work with the springs.
