Default Dropped Sleeve issues Part II............

Figured since my other thread had like 3,000 views a few of you might be interested in how my situation was handled.

I have had several phone conversations with David and Jayson@MTI over the last 4 days and both of them were very professional. They have agreed to replace my entire valve train, redo the heads, and replace my head gaskets. All of this is shipped out and on its way.

Hopefully my next thread I start will be titled "Fire in the Hole" and not "2001 SS for sale".

Thanks for the replies in the original post trying to help me pin point my problem. This has been very frustrating and I hope it will start going down hill from here.

ARE could learn a thing from Jason and crew. They act like they're doing me a favor by taking their sweet *** time to finish my car.It doesn't seem to matter that I paid them a year ago.

good luck doc. we know you deserve to get what you paid for. glad to see they arent turning the cheek and are fixing their screwups. it is also good to see that a forum can work in a positive manor other than to complain about venders. you got results!

Doc,

Thanks for posting an update, I really like it when members share the results with us.

I think MTI has great customer service. That being said, I have bought very little from them but know many who have. Jayson has built up a strong business, and having spent some time with him off/on since 1998 I know he likes nothing better than to have his customers be satisfied and run fast.

That's great to hear, I knew MTI was a good company, and they are showing it right here by taking care of you. I hope the new motor is perfect and you can get that beast on the road!!!

I think this is a great credit to MTI. I'm glad that we've got several companies out there that are willing to take extra measures to do what is right, and not just take our money and forget about us. It's the simplest way for a business in this industry to make it, as word of mouth will make a severe impact one way or another on these shops. I would definitely feel comfortable doing business with MTI after hearing how this issue was reslolved (so far).

Again, good luck Doc!

Endural makes shipping cases for engines, trannies, etc. http://www.hooversolutions.com/endural/products.php

They are very strong and reusable. Price is reasonable too.
