Default 1983 Hurst/Olds LM7 swap.

Hey guys, I am going to be putting a new cam into my lm7 engine part# K54-414-11, Basic Operating RPM Range:1,300-6,300, Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift:216, Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift:220, Duration at 050 inch Lift:216 int./220 exh., Advertised Intake Duration:269, Advertised Exhaust Duration:273, Advertised Duration:269 int./273 exh. My car came with a stall converter of 2400 rpm. I was thinking about staying with the converter that is already in the car. Just want your thoughts. Also what timing chain and gear set should I run?
