Default Head Stud Question?

Is they any diffence in gen 3 to gen 4 head studs? Is the lengths different or threads ?? Just wondering if anyone know.

04+ engines use all same length head studs

03 and under have different length head studs

There's a gray area between 03-04 where some blocks have used either or, depends on production run..

So when talking 03 under, you talking about the main studs that clamp the head down- ex under the valve cover. Or are you talking in regrets to the ext studs under the exhaust manifolds?

The exhaust is the same the studs being referred to are the ones under the valve covers the outside studs (closest to front or rear of the block) would be longer. The ones closes to the intake manifold are all 8mm and the same length.
