Default 6.0 build

ok little back ground here. was a street racer. had to stop cause of the family life. now kids are grown and wife is cool with me getting back in. just not street, track only. i have a few of the lq4/9 engine that I have kelp over the years. every thing has changed a lot. now intro is over lets get down to it.

which way and what suggestion would you all have. have the lq complete blocks(core motors) and have 317 heads on them. here the base line. going into a 2003 Tacoma king cab(customer abandoned). carb set up for sure.8.8 with 456 gears, 29/10.50 15 power glide with 1.82 and going to do nitrous to get me where I want to be that the motor dont get me. looking to get into 6.0 to 6.25 in the 1/8 to start.

Well on a scale of 1 to 10; with 1 being bolt ons and 10 being a built 408 with twin 88mm turbos and methanol, how crazy do you want to get with it?

Talking to other people running the class I want to run in. They are saying I need to have 600 hp to compete. What I have to start with is a 2003 king cab Tacoma. Got a 8.8 with 456 gears coming. 1.82 glide being rebuilt. Lq4/9 comeplet engine with 317 heads.engine was a running engine when took out of truck.had been ran hot and failed a block test. Customer said just replace it don't worry about.have taken it apart and found nothing wrong. Would like to just be able to do it on a n/a engine but Will build it so I can use a bottle to get me were I need to be. 370 is what I was thinking.but at looking at rods and Pistons it almost better to do a 408. Don't really know yet. Got to make up my mind soon. Machine shop not going to wait for ever....

Do you have a budget on heads? 600 horse can be done easily on pump gas with a 408 with the RIGHT set of heads and cam selection......

Want to try and stay at or around 3k in the engine assembly after the 10pt, trains build, rear end, electronics might have more to put in but at this point that's what I have to spend.
