Default Help deciding which set up to run!

I have a 98 Formula M6(just swapped). I have been gathering parts for a heads cam swap for a while now. I have 3 possible directions that I would go in. I would like some input on which way you guys would go.

1st Set up
98 ls1 (recently result)
Ms3 cam, 799 heads with a .005 clean up ,a 3 angle VJ, and btr .660 springs, Fast 78 intake.
42 lb injectors with a walbro 255
3.73 gearset
McCleod twin disc
Gto Mn12 t56

2nd set up.
2001 Lq4 (116k) with the same Parts in the ls1 set up.

3rd set up.
2009 ly6 (approx 100k).
Sell all of the parts I have for the gen 3 motors to fund the necessary swap parts and cam it.

I plan on running this set up NA on a factory shortblock for a year or so while i beef up the drivetrain. I'm not concerned with track times, but would like to make the most power per dollar. I plan on a turbo build (factory longblock) in the future, so keep this in mind) I already own the lq4, ls1, and associated performance parts. A ly6 popped up locally and am in a position to buy it at a reasonable price, though it is missing a timing set and factory cam.

I am torn because I am essentially ready for a Gen 3 ms3 build, but my future plans would be benefited more by the ly6. I'm aware of the process in converting the car to a 0411 harness, as well as a Gen 4.

WHAT SHOULD I DO!
(Logically I should just run the lq4 combo but power corrupts)

I like the first setup and the the third. I wouldn't recommend a iron block such as the LQ4 due to its weight and you plan on staying n/a. Less wait the better!! If you got some money to invest in the car do a cylinder head upgrade. Just my opinion tho......

Start with option 2! Better baseline to start off with!

I would go with the LQ4. With the same parts from the LS1, you're still within 1/2 point of compression from the LS1 (~10.2:1 vs ~10.6:1), but you have about 20 more cubic inches. It will probably make just about as much power as the LS1 would, but at least you won't have to swap the engine later when you want to turbocharge it and you don't have to do any of the conversion hassle like with the LY6.

Speaking from experience, you don't even notice the extra weight, especially if you are more concerned about power than track times like the OP mentioned.

I agree you won't notice the extra weight and the broader torque curve will make up for it anyways IMO. What's currently in the car now?

It's got the ls1. I'm leaning towards the 6.0 myself. Weight isn't a concern. I'm gonna boost it after I build the trans and get a beefy rear. Thanks for the input. The ly6 is a pain to convert.

As long as you get the compression up I think you'll like the 6.0 better overall. I know I personally did when I went to my current LQ9 over the old LS1
