Scares the ever living hell out of me to tune it myself lol. It took so long to build and a lot more money than planned. But I guess its cant be much worse than what I have been dealing with.

That's a very careless and obvious mistake. Little careless mistakes can easily cause bigger problems, engine damage or failure. Not noticing a very lean condition while tuning, tuner didn't give two ***** or must have lost their vision while tuning your car.
