5.3 to 4.8 rotating assembly?

Default 5.3 to 4.8 rotating assembly?

After melting a piston on the 5.3 everything is out and torn down. The 4.8 I was going to use looks a little rough. Needs cam bearings ect...

Could I swap the 4.8 crank to the 5.3? I'll be using the 4.8 pistons with new rings and rod bearings. So basically swapping the rotating assembly from the 4.8 to the 5.3 block will make the 5.3 a 4.8?
From what I've read they are identical aside from the crank.

The 5.3 cylinder walls still look good in my opinion. I may hone them a bit, but the walls in the 4.8 look worse.

you must also use the 4.8 rods as they are longer to make up for the difference in rod throw offset (3.622"-3.268"/2)=0.177" which means the 4.8 rods should measure 6.275" in length

Either take them to machine shop to have done or do it yourself....

Ok I think that's the route I will go. I'll just put the 4.8 flat top pistons on the 5.3 rods and keep running the 5.3
