Default Cam help

I am swapping a 99 ls1 into my bmw 328 that I use as a track car/ occasional weekend driver. I have narrowed my choices down to the TS torquer V2 on 112ls and now there is the V4 111 lsa. my only concerns are is the extra lift and the lower lsa going to be more maintence, worth it, driveablity good, tuning easy? ect. I will have it professionally tuned to keep a safe/good tune. The motor has the 243 heads/ and ls6 intake manifold. can that flow the v4 cam?

I am not wanting a dyno queen and high numbers are not the most important thing for this car. its going to spend a lot of time neer redline and WOT at the track I would think that the lower lift of the v2 would be better more reliable or should i not worry. thanks for your help

Actually, given the concerns you listed, I would lean toward the V4. The XER lobes on the V2 have faster ramp rates at the low lift end, resulting in reduced reliability and additional spring wear and tear.

LSA has zero effect on maintenance. Instead, look at valve overlap and valve events. The V2 has 8.5 degrees of overlap. The V4 has 10.5. Not that big of a difference. The intake valve on the V4 closes at 46.5 degrees vs 47.5 degrees on the V2. The V4 should perform slightly better at lower RPMs and be easier on the valve train
