Default piston and rod

On my quest for a turbo built LQ4 I need Gen 4 rods. I found a set of 04 LQ4 rods with the floating pin. Would this be a Gen 4 rod since its not the press fit pin? From what I read Gen 4 started in 05. I thought I might get lucky because they are cheap.

2004 was sort of a changeover year. There were Gen IV blocks with 24x cranks and stuff like that going on. If it's a bronze bushing in the small end bore for a floating pin, then yeah it should be a Gen IV connecting rod.

I figured as much. I know lots of companies do this with a lot of things. Thanks
