Ls6 Block

I was talking to a guy tonight and he asked me if i had the ls6 block or not. I wasnt aware that any ls1s had the ls6 block. How do I know which i have?

Look at VIN # in back of block.

Short story: they had extra LS6 blocks laying around.

About 25% of 01/02 cars had them.
